Come here, whenever you wish, to listen for a moment,
to renew and refresh, to meditate...

My music studio is functioning again and I look forward to a winter and perhaps spring of recording, working on my third CD. Several songs are in process already, simultaneously. I've had to practice patience and acceptance during this process. There is still much for me to learn about the new computer recording program--and about music and recording in general, for that matter. I continue to build skills, and will enjoy stretching into this new CD.

Any creative vision needs time, patience and nurturing. Visions, no matter how clear they may be, take time to enact. I've found that I may be able to see step "z", but must still walk through steps b-y to get to it. Some of those steps are not even visible and do not produce anything we can perceive in the physical plane.

Fallow time is that kind of a step. Sometimes the best thing for a process and its continued growth and success is to leave it alone, to look away for a time. I have been in a fallow time, as far as recording is concerned. As I've come out of that time, I have been re-evaluating the way I work and creating new ways to proceed which feel rich and full to me.

I had the joy and privilege of playing music at an interfaith retreat this summer. I feel deeply the importance of connection between people and between faiths. Sharing music, chanting, singing, creating harmonies (creating Harmony) together is a deeply fulfilling way to communicate.

Until my new CD is ready, I will leave you with these songs, created last year. Gifts We Bring will be changing for the final CD. When my computer crashed last autumn, I lost that song and now only have the Mp3 recording of this version. The new version will be a bit different but I will leave this earlier version here on my website.
